Will I receive the exact item pictured when I place my order?
I work with a lot of stones that are unique and one of a kind and I also create every piece of jewelry by hand. Because of this there may be slight variations in your order from the listing pictures. I detail in every listing whether you will receive the exact item pictured or an item similar. If you ever have questions about what you will receive, please contact me and I would be happy to answer any concerns.

Please also note that although every effort is made to photograph color accurately, I cannot guarantee every monitor/screen will accurately depict the actual color of the merchandise. Please contact me with any questions before purchasing.

Will my jewelry tarnish?
Sterling jewelry darkens over time when unworn. Wearing your jewelry regularly keeps it bright or a polishing cloth can be used for maintenance. Every silver order receives a complimentary polishing cloth and anti-tarnish strip to aid with keeping your jewelry in the best shape possible.

Brass darkens over time from a bright gold color to a warm, golden brown color. Feel free to polish it to keep it bright or enjoy the beautiful color it will darken to. A complimentary polishing cloth is included with your order if you'd like to maintain the brightness.

Will my jewelry turn my skin a different color?
I work with .925 sterling silver, argentium sterling silver, gold-filled, stainless steel, and brass. Some people may or may not react to these metals. This has little to do with the quality of the metal and more to do with your personal chemical makeup and/or any oils or lotions that may be on your skin. To prevent the reaction, avoid sleeping in your jewelry and getting it wet. Jewelry should always be the last thing you put on, after lotion or perfume has dried completely.

Can you accommodate metal allergies?
If you've fallen in love with one of our pieces, but it is in a metal that you are allergic to, please contact me and I will work with you to create something you can wear.

What is the difference between argentium sterling silver and regular sterling silver?
Argentium silver is a higher quality version of sterling silver. Traditionally, sterling silver contains 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. Argentium contains 93.5% silver and the remaining copper is modified by removing some of the copper and adding germanium. By adding germanium, argentium sterling silver is known to be more tarnish resistant than standard sterling.

What is the difference between gold filled and gold plated?
Gold plated jewelry is comprised of a very tiny amount of gold electronically plated to (usually) a brass or copper base. The amount of gold used is approximately .05% of the item's total weight. Because of this tiny amount, the gold inevitably will rub away over time. Due to this, gold plated jewelry is typically much less expensive than gold filled jewelry.

Gold filled jewelry is comprised of a solid layer of gold, at least 5% of the item's weight, which is mechanically pressure bonded to either a sterling silver base or (usually) copper/brass. It is a quality, less expensive alternative to solid gold and is far more durable than gold plated jewelry.
